Ezen a héten az 1989-ben, Utrechtben született Jaya Pelupessy vette át a Mai Manó Ház Instagram oldalát. A fotóművész Pelupessy a szintén holland Felix van Dam grafikussal közösen állít ki a Mai Manó Házban megrendezett Vissza a jövőbe - A 19. század a 21. században című kiállításon, ahol a Szűrők és a Színpróba #36 – 52 című munkáikkal játékosan utalnak Henry William Fox Talbotnak, a fotográfia egyik feltalálójának néhány fekete-fehér fényképére.

Hi! My name is Jaya Pelupessy and this week I will take over the Mai Manó House Instagram. I will show a little bit more of the project Traces of the Familiar that I have made together with Felix van Dam and that is part of the “Back to the Future: The 19th Century in the 21st Century” exhibition. • As a photographer and a graphic designer we combined our expertise and developed a camera, which combines silkscreen prints with photography. To cut a long story short: We created a camera that uses a silkscreen instead of film. To obtain the right amount of UV light to expose the silkscreens we use sun tanners gathered second hand. To create depth in our images we use different exposure times, which we print on top of each other in slightly different tones of black. These layers are most visible in the lightboxes. • • 1.
